How to setup Outlook Express 5 to handle multiple users

Outlook Express has the ability to support multiple users. You can setup multiple users in Outlook Express using the Switch Identity command.

How to configure multiple users

1) Open Outlook Express.

2) From the File menu, choose Switch Identity.



3) Click the New button.



4) In the Identity Name field, type the name of the secondary user.



5) Click the OK button.

6) Select I already have an Internet e-mail account, but I have never used that account on this computer; or I have used another program but I don't want to import anything from that program.



7) Click the Right Arrow button.

8) In the Display Name field, type your name.



9) Click the Right Arrow button.

10) In the E-mail address: field, type your email address.



11) Click the Right Arrow button.

12) In the Incoming mail (POP, IMAP) server field, type the POP3 or incoming mail server for your domain. If you use an @mindsync.com address, type pop.mindsync.com.

13) In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) server field, type smtp.mindsync.com.



14) Click the Right Arrow button.

15) In the Account ID field, type your username.



16) Click the Right Arrow button.

17) In the Account Name field, type your username.



18) Click the Finish button.

You have now configured Outlook Express for multiple users.
