How to configure Outlook Express 4.0

Follow the steps below to configure Outlook Express 4.0.

Requirements
  • You need the settings for your particular domain (i.e. mindsync.com, mindspring.com, etc.) which can be found on the Domain Listing page in order to complete this walkthrough.
How to configure Outlook Express 4.0
  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.

  3. Click on the triangle to the left of Accounts so that it points down.
  4. Click the E-mail item.
  5. In the Full name box, type your first and last name.
  6. In the E-mail address box, type your email address.
  7. In the SMTP server box, type the SMTP for your domain (ie. mail.mindsync.com for Mindsync).
  8. In the Account ID box, type your username.
  9. In the POP Server box, type the POP server for your domain (ie. pop.earthlink.net for Mindsync).
  10. In the Save password box, type your password.
  11. In the Account Name box, type your username.
  12. Click the OK button.

    You have successfully configured Outlook Express 4.0
