In Outlook Express, this error means there is a corrupt message on the mail (POP) Server. To solve the problem, the corrupt message must be deleted from the server.

Cause

Outlook Express often reports a null message error when there is a corrupt message on the mail (POP) server.
Solution

Delete the corrupt message from the POP server. Other messages will then download properly.

After the corrupt message is deleted from the POP server, you will no longer receive the error.
