If you receive the error message: "Error 17199: A message in the outbox could not be sent. The account which created the message could not be found," it may be because the account was deleted while there were still messages in the outbox. Resolve the error by opening each email message in the outbox, and assigning a new account to send the message.

Open each message in the outbox and assign a new account to send with.

Assigning a new account to an outgoing message
  1. Open Outlook Express.
  2. Select Outbox in the Folders list.
  3. Double click the message in the Outbox.

    You have successfully assigned a new account to the outgoing email. The error is now resolved.
