Error 1701 / Reinstall Outlook Express

| If you receive the Error 1707 message, you may have some corrupt files in Outlook Express. You will need to reinstall Outlook Express.

Error 1701
The application Outlook Express might be corrupted and needs to be re-installed.

Insert the Mac OS CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Double-click the Mac OS Install icon.

Click the Continue button.

Click the down arrow on the Destination Disk drop-down list and choose where you want to install the software.

Click the Select button.

- Read the Important Information.

Click the Continue button.

Take a moment to read the Software License Agreement.

Click the Continue button.

Click the Agree button if you agree to the terms.

Click the Customize button.

Uncheck all the boxes except for Internet Access.

Click the arrow box on the Recommended Installation pop-up list and choose Customized Installation....

Click on the triangle to the left of Microsoft so that it points down.

Check the box next to Outlook Express.

Click the OK button.

Click the Start button.

| Outlook Express 4.0 will now re-install on your Macintosh. Restart your computer once the installation is complete. |
