The File Name Is Already in Use: Error -3216 in Outlook Express / Remove and Reinstall Open Transport Files

The File Name Is Already in Use: Error -3216
One or more components of the Macintosh Operating System (OS) networking technology Open Transport is damaged
Remove and reinstall the following Open Transport support files:
Open Transport
Open Transport ASLM Modules

Double-click the Macintosh HD icon.

Double-click the System folder.

Double-click the Extensions folder.

Click and hold the Open Transport item in the folder, then drag it and release it on the trash can.

Click and hold the Open Transport ASLM Modules item in the folder, then drag it and release it on the trash can.

Insert the MacOS 9 CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.

Double-click the Mac OS 9 icon.

Double-click the System Folder folder.

Double-click the Extensions folder.

Click and hold the Open Transport item in the folder, then drag it and release it in the Extensions folder.

Click and hold the Open Transport ASLM Modules item in the folder, then drag it and release it in the Extensions folder.

Close all windows.

From the Special menu, choose Restart.
| You have successfully removed and reinstalled some of the Open Transport files. The error will be resolved. |
